This Laid Back Austin Wedding Is Looking Pretty in Pink
If you’ve been a reader of Style Me Pretty for a little while now, it will come as no surprise to you that we have a love affair with pretty in pink weddings, but it can be a challenge to keep the popular bridal color palette looking new and unique. Enter today’s wedding photographed by Krystle Akin and filmed by Moonlit Weddings. By using every variation of the shade – lightening it up to champagnes and ivories and darkening it to pops of deep and rich burgundy plus every pinkish hue in between –  Heavenly Day Events created a whimsical and fresh, almost ombre effect. We’re loving it, and we know you will too, so head right this way…

A 13th Century Castle Proves A Stunning Backdrop For A Wedding Shoot

From the photographer, Jessica: Fashions fade but style is eternal –  Yves Saint Laurent

With anything I style I ask myself, “Will this be timeless, relative and stylish in an eternal sense?” I want to be able to look back at the images and see the love, the connection, and the passion – rather than see out of date trends. For this shoot to be relative for the modern bride, I wanted to have the design elements compliment the couple, rather than have the couple compliment the design elements. Wanting to merge a modern aesthetic with a romantic European setting, I selected the Castello Di Amorosa, a 13th century tuscan styled castle nestled on a hillside near Calistoga CA.

The 121,000 square foot castle sits on 170 acres and took owner Dario Suttui 14 years to build. The chosen dress, invitations, cake, and  table setting were kept simple, elegant, and minimal to blend well with the texture and appeal of the castle. With the elegant castle and grounds, there was no need for more!

While Castello Di Amorosa does not host weddings, they do offer photo permits for photo shoots! It is a perfect location for a proposal, a date, or for an engagement session – just have your photographer get the right photo permit!
